There were 7 of us celebrating milestone wedding anniversaries (60, 30, and 15 years) in July. Most of us decided to try drinks and entrees from the menu that we had never had before, and we were all so impressed. All of the entrees came out at the exact same time, all at perfect temperatures! Flavors and textures were melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and we will definitely be back again when we visit in the fall. We had a 3-year-old with us who loved the french fries and outdoor games, and the service was very attentive and friendly. Thank you for a very memorable celebration!

A delightful discovery in Tupper Lake, NY Our first visit to Amado did not disappoint. We spend a wonderful Saturday in March enjoying the pleasant decor and delicious dining options. We three ordered Feijoada, the Brazilian steak, and the Mahi Mahi Brazilian style (I don't recall the name of the dish). All the entrees were delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. The Caipirinha cocktail was well prepared, and we also enjoyed a bottle of Portada, one of our favorite Portuguese wines. The desserts were home made, and offered choices for any taste. All in all, an excellent meal at a great dining spot!

Excellent soup. Also had romaine wedge salad. Beautiful presentation. Lamb pot pie was delicious! Definitely has become our new favorite restaurant in the area??

I tried the Chicken pot pie. IT IS TO DIE FOR!!!! I have had pot pie many times. This is by far the best I have ever eaten. I WILL BE GETTING IT AGAIN!!!

I had the Brazilian Mosqueca(mahi mahi) and my wife had the Veal rolatini with lobster sauce and scalloped potatoes. Both were delicious. My wife told me at least five times how good her meal was even into the next day. Cory is a true chef.

My husband and I both had the fish fry. The crust was crunchy and delicios. The fish was moist and perfectly done. It was also hugh. We also had the onion and ale soup which was equally delicious.
Vegan Moqueca with Basmati Rice review by Frank
It isn't often when one can find a vegan item in a restaurant in the north country. But Amado had a clearly marked vegan section on their menu. We tried two of the three items on that menu and were incredibly impressed! Even more remarkable was that they had a vegan dessert which was a delicious key lime pie. We will definitely tell our vegan friends about Amado and return with said friends in tow. Bravo Amado!

Deliciously tender pork ribs with black beans in a very tasty sauce. The tangy tomato salad garnish was amazing too! I would definitely order it again. Nice cozy atmosphere and friendly service.
